Microsoft Fabric consulting

Microsoft Fabric consulting without the hype

Microsoft Fabric brings data integration, storage, engineering and Power BI together in one platform. It can simplify a lot, but it is not the right move for every business. We help you decide whether Fabric fits your size and data, and if it does, we set it up step by step so your reports keep working while you move.

What it is

What Microsoft Fabric is

Fabric is Microsoft’s analytics platform. Instead of separate tools for moving, storing, transforming and reporting on data, it puts them in one service with a single storage layer, OneLake, and the Power BI you may already use on top.

For a business that already lives in Microsoft 365 and Power BI, that can mean fewer moving parts and one place to manage security. For a small team with a handful of sources, a well-built Power BI model is often still enough. Telling the two cases apart is the first thing we do.

FAQ

Questions about Microsoft Fabric

Do I need Microsoft Fabric if I already use Power BI?

Not necessarily. Fabric makes sense when you have several sources to integrate, growing data volumes or more than one team building on the same data. If your reporting runs well on a few sources, a solid Power BI model may be all you need. We tell you which case you are in on the free call.

Will my existing Power BI reports still work?

Yes. Power BI is part of Fabric, so existing reports keep working. During a move we connect them to the new data step by step and check the figures against the old ones before switching over.

How much does Fabric cost?

Fabric is billed by Microsoft through capacity, on top of the Power BI licences your users need. The right capacity depends on your data and usage, so we review Microsoft’s current pricing with you during the assessment rather than quote a figure that may change. Our own work is scoped and quoted after that call.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. We work 100 % remotely, and the whole service can be delivered in English: meetings, reports and documentation. We also work in Spanish and French, so teams spread across several countries can each use their own language. The initial 30-minute assessment is always a video call.
